Corten steel
Corten steel gives gardens a robust and warm appearance. Weather conditions promote the rusting process of corten steel, resulting in a beautiful orange-brown rust layer. This material is also known as weathering steel because weather conditions actually have a positive impact. Furthermore, corten steel is low-maintenance, making it ideal for long-term use. This alloy of iron with copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium forms when exposed to the.
Outdoor air forms a protective rust layer on corten steel, preventing further corrosion. This gives corten steel products a very long lifespan. The name 'Corrosive Tensile Steel' refers to the natural rust and high tensile strength of the steel, making it ideal for heavy constructions such as bridges. This makes the material perfect for our products.

MATERIAL TYPE
For all our corten steel products, we use the same type of steel: S355J0WP+AR (EN10025-5). S355J0WP+AR is a type of corten steel specially designed to be more resistant to rust caused by weather conditions. This steel is often used for structures such as bridges and buildings because of its high strength and ease of processing. It is supplied without any special treatments, which means it can be used directly in production.
This corten steel complies with the European standard EN10025-5, which precisely describes the requirements the steel must meet. Some of these requirements are that the steel contains elements such as copper, phosphorus, silicon, and chromium, which help in forming a protective rust layer when exposed to the outdoor environment. This natural rust layer protects the steel from further corrosion.
The EN10204-3.1 certification is an important document that demonstrates that the steel meets all required standards. The certificate contains information about the chemical and mechanical properties of the steel, such as the composition and strength. This ensures that we can be sure that we can produce top-quality products and that our production runs efficiently.
